FIGHTING LOW WAGES!

Low Wages You may remember that I don't sugar-coat things so you probably won't be surprised when you read this. One of my biggest fundraising gripes is when a group works hard on a project; planning, organizing, promoting and selling for 2 or 3 months straight. Then after the dust settles and all the vendors and expenses have been paid, you might have a couple of bucks left over for profit! You do the math. (I would but it might require the metric system!) You will probably find your group is working for just pennies an hour! That is SO WRONG and really gets my feathers ruffled!

I told you I speak straight from my heart! (If you don't like it, you might try the neighbor's blog next door.
It might be a little more politically-correct.) You'll also find 1) I'm NOT a professional fundraiser!
2) I'm NOT a corporate fundraiser! 3) Fundraising is NOT even my regular career! But after reading my
bio on my websites and this blog, you'll see I do have plenty of fundraising, entertaining and event planning
experience. Actually, I have 12 years in Florida's Event and Entertainment Industry doing all kinds of events,
both mine and for others. That includes work for profit and non-profit groups, and I have a full page list of
well-known national clients. (Certainly enough to raise a few eyebrows!)

I did fundraising all the way through school myself, plus we have two grown daughters and now two
incredible grandchildren (Did I mention they are gorgeous, talented and smart too?) Bottom line is...
I DO know how you feel about fundraising. I've been on both sides of the fundraising dollar! (Who came up
with that ugly new dollar design anyway? I thought the other one spent just fine!)

If you keep on visiting, we'll try to iron out a few kinks in your groups' fundraising projects to give you a
better 'profit potential' when all is said and done. Remember, 'Per-Hour' Profit is my Preferred Profit
Barometer, not working your group into the ground or wearing out your customers. We'll have some
good laughs and relieve a little stress along the way.

Until next time, I'm wishing you and your group Ultimate Fundraising Success!
