Tuesday, November 3, 2009QUICK SIMPLE FUNDRAISERS WITH 'FUNDRAISER INSIGHT!'by Sherie Smith
Every
month of so I check out some new fundraiser websites. I would
venture to say probably 80% of them have the same general information
on them. They have a comments area, they host quite a lot of ads,
they have clickable links to various fundraising companies and probably
get a good commission if someone purchases products through their
website link. In addition, most of these fundraiser websites also
have a general list of fundraising ideas you can take and use for your
group project. Unfortunately, you have to look long and hard to
find a unique new fundraiser amidst all the jumble of text and
links on most of these sites. But that is beside the point. The Fundraising Designer 3 Hours To Fundraising Success Group This weekend I made my usual online 'fundraiser' rounds. But this time I stumbled on a website I hadn't noticed before. I wanted to share it with you, because there is something special about this site that struck me as quite pleasant. It's called simply 'FundraisingInsight' For one thing, it isn't gaudy looking, nor is it stuffed to overflowing with this link and that link. On the contrary, Fundraising Insight is simple in design and very nice in a clean and fresh way. It looks a bit like a blog that might be maintained by a young lady, perhaps just trying her hand at blogging. Not that it is tacky or amateurish - not at all! What I mean is that it just doesn't have that "chew-them-up-and-spit-them-out" appearance of strong professionalism that so many sites have now adays. This site is actually quite attractive, and I found it to be very user-friendly. When you look around on it, you'll see it still has a good deal of information. But the theme is not "carnival-gaudy" which I appreciate very much. It's chock full of great info but all done in good taste! I found one particular post that I wanted to let you know about. It's a brief article called Quick and Simple Fundraisers and here is the link for you: Quick and Simple Fundraisers This article covers the 6 top quick and easy fundraisers, in the opinion of Fundraiser Insight. This website has a myriad of project ideas you can grab to use for your own group. But it is also a great resource website for things like fundraising kits and various fundraising articles as well. Overall, I was impressed by how neat and pulled together the site is. Yet it is well stocked with tools, tips and ideas for everyone from the experienced to the novice event planner. If you are an amateur involved in fundraising, I would definitely mark Fundraiser Insight as one of your favorite 'go-to' resources. I loved the freshness and cleanness of the site, and I'm anxious to follow along in the future and see how it continues to grow. Do YOU have a favorite fundraising site? I'd love to hear about it.
